Meet Oliver - he is a boy I cherished and carried in my heart and mind for a long time. It's been a while I've been thinking about my first boy doll. One thing I wanted to avoid is creating same doll but with short hair and calling her a boy name.
I took more complex approach and changed his legs shape, his face and his hands to really mimic boys' character.
Oliver is a cheerful child who is smiling a lot. He is inspired by Emil in Lonneberga - a children book by Astrid Lindgren. Just like Emil, Oliver has a beautiful blond head full of brightest and craziest ideas and mischiefs. His fair hair and freckles make him look like an angel, but don't be fooled - he is not. He has a prodigious knack for getting into trouble. Oliver once said to me that he doesn't make pranks, they simply find him.
Oliver is 44cm/ 17,3'' tall. He is more petite in figure than my first collections of dolls too. It lets him pose even better than previously. Oliver comes with the clothes in the pictures - let me know if you want more outfits made for him before he travels home.
Oliver is completely handcrafted using all natural high quality materials. He is one of the kind creation. His head, torso and legs are needle felted and sculpted so it is very firm but soft. The outer fabric is high quality jersey from Netherlands. His face is sculpted (needle felted) as well. Oliver's eyes are embroidered with cotton floss. Lips and cheeks are blushed with beeswax. His arms are freely hanging. The doll has joint skeleton so his neck, torso and legs can be moved and bend. There is no metal or sharp details used. Oliver's hair is made of mohair and cut into a hairstyle by me. The hair is very soft and durable. The doll is free standing. He is collectible.
